Autauga County approves one-time supplemental pay and several personnel moves

The Autauga County Commission approved one-time supplemental pay for county employees with payout dates in November 2025, rescinded and approved several personnel actions and adopted a FY2026 agreement with the Central Alabama Aging Consortium. All motions passed unanimously.
Autauga County commissioners voted Nov. 4 to authorize one-time supplemental pay for county staff and to clear a slate of personnel actions, including rescinding a resignation and approving new hires and step increases.
The commission approved countywide one-time supplemental pay to be paid Nov. 24, 2025, and a separate one-time supplemental payment for Probate Office employees to be paid Nov. 20, 2025; the Probate Judge will reimburse the county for the Probate Office payout. Separately, commissioners approved a one-time supplemental payout for the sheriff’s office and jail to be paid Nov. 21, 2025; the sheriff will reimburse the county for that payment. The votes on these items were recorded as unanimous.
The board rescinded the resignation of part-time process server Gregory Thompson and accepted the resignation of full-time correctional officer Lanikia Peoples, effective Oct. 27, 2025. The commission approved hiring Robert Bradford as a full-time correctional officer (grade PS301: step 7, effective Nov. 10, 2025) and Melynda Boyer as a license clerk (grade 4: step 1, effective Nov. 10, 2025). A previously approved hire of Earl Abbott (mechanic w/o CDL) was rescinded by the commission.
Commissioners also approved one-year, one-step pay increases for several employees (examples recorded in the minutes include Nicholas Cigelske, deputy sheriff; Teresa Lee, clerk; Cnisha Alexander, center manager; and Felicia Teer, driver) for satisfactory service.
The commission approved an FY2026 agreement with the Central Alabama Aging Consortium, covering the period Oct. 1, 2025–Sept. 30, 2026. The board also approved multiple FY2026 solid-waste exemption renewals and new exemptions across several batches of properties, as listed in the meeting minutes.
The meeting record shows each motion carried by a unanimous vote of the commission. The board adjourned at 5:32 p.m. and reconvened on Nov. 18, 2025 at 4:30 p.m., per the meeting minutes.
