The approved budget provides a 2.0% cost-of-living adjustment for eligible full-time and part-time employees, a 3% increase to the public-safety pay scale effective Oct. 17, 2025, and one-time supplemental payouts to be paid in November 2025: $250 for employees with one year or less of service, $750 for those with more than one year up to 10 years, and $1,750 for employees with more than 10 years. Eligible elected officials are also slated to receive a 2.0% COLA and the $1,750 one-time supplemental payout where applicable, pursuant to Alabama Code 11-2A-1 et seq.
The budget allocates $8,165,029.83 in budgeted bond proceeds toward jail and courthouse renovations and includes a $487,279 set of miscellaneous appropriations to community organizations. Notable appropriations listed in the adopted budget include $115,000 for the Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, $45,000 for the Pratt Museum, $30,000 for Chamber of Commerce economic development, $66,125 to E-911, and $20,000 to the Heart of Alabama Food Bank. Part-time county hours are limited to no more than 29 hours per week on average.
