Freemansburg council adopts updated fee schedule, authorizes pension MMO and advertises two tax ordinances

Freemansburg Borough Council adopted Resolution #2025-24 on Aug. 19, 2025, updating the borough’s 2025 fee schedule.
Council also authorized the borough’s Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO) for the 2026 pension plan, voting unanimously. The council voted 7-0 to authorize advertisement of an Occupation Assessment Tax Ordinance and separately voted 7-0 to authorize advertisement of a Per Capita Tax Ordinance, actions that allow the proposed ordinances to be published and scheduled for future consideration and public comment.
These motions were recorded as routine financial and administrative steps alongside payroll, bills and collections reports the council reviewed during its meeting. No fiscal details of the proposed tax ordinances were included in the minutes and council did not adopt either ordinance at the Aug. 19 session; the motions were to authorize advertisement only.
