Rawlins County received financial updates at its April 15 meeting showing first‑quarter insurance savings and a small emergency‑management grant.
Darren Booth of Theel Insurance/FCMI presented a quarterly overview and said the county’s total net savings for the first quarter was $12,991.99. Separately, the county received $10,000 in Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) funds; the minutes state those funds will help offset the monthly payment to Cheyenne County for Emergency Management services.
Chairman Alan A. Solko signed the CVR Grant Subrecipient vs Contractor Classification Checklist during the meeting, and the board scheduled related special meetings for CVR grant bid opening (April 29) and a tentative drawdown approval (May 30).
