Ford County's Board of Commissioners approved routine administrative and procurement items on Feb. 2, including claims, software purchases and meeting schedule changes.
The commission approved claims for payment totaling $885,427.29 on a 3-0 vote. The consent agenda, containing minutes, adds and abatements and a Cereal Malt Beverage application, was approved earlier in the meeting.
Caroline Petty, the county appraiser, presented a request to purchase Field Mobile software from Tyler Technologies for $21,263.00 to support appraisal field work; the board approved the purchase 3-0.
The board gave staff permission to solicit bids in several departments: Noxious Weed (pickup vehicle), Road and Bridge (2026 fuel), and Santa Fe Trail Community Corrections (compact SUV with trade-in). Those solicitations were approved without opposition. The board also approved Commissioner Chris Boys' request to attend the Taiwan Smart City Summit March 15-21, 2026.
Finally, commissioners moved to reschedule the county's second February meeting from Monday, Feb. 16 (Presidents' Day) to Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026; the motion passed 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 5:01 p.m.
