Ford County’s Board of Commissioners on Feb. 17 authorized the Road & Bridge Department to solicit bids for multiple 2026 road and maintenance supplies and awarded the county’s fuel contract to A-V Energy.
Road & Bridge Superintendent Bradley Ross requested permission to go to bid for several items: 9,000 tons of cold mix/asphalt, emulsion oil, roadway paint striping, 150 tons of road salt and sealing aggregate. Commissioners moved individually to authorize solicitations for each item; each motion passed 3-0.
Ross also presented fuel bids from multiple vendors with itemized pricing for various diesel and gasoline products. After a short recess to check last year’s usage figures, the commission returned at 4:30 p.m. and approved the award of the fuel contract to A-V Energy on a 3-0 vote.
The transcript records the vendor table presented by staff but does not include contract dollar totals or multi-year terms in the meeting record; county staff will finalize contract details consistent with the bid specifications and usage estimates.
