Charlotte County administrator previews FY2023–24 budget and sets April 17 public hearing

County Administrator Daniel N. Witt presented an overview of Charlotte County's proposed FY2023–24 budget at the board's March 23 work session, outlining line-item differences from the current year and the proposed year. Witt told the board that the county's largest revenue generator is real estate taxes, "bringing in a little over six million dollars."
Witt reviewed where FY2023–2024 differs from FY2022–2023 and said the board will have a formal opportunity to consider public input and any final adjustments at a scheduled public hearing. He announced the county will hold a Public Hearing on April 17 at 6:00 p.m. to finalize the proposed budget.
The work session record does not show any formal votes or approved budget actions at that meeting. With no further business, Chairman Gary D. Walker adjourned the session.
