Llano County commissioners approve ARPA reallocation for Road & Bridge truck, approve investigator bond and clear Sunny K setback issue; outdoor-burning measure

Commissioner Peter Jones moved to repurpose American Rescue Plan Act funds for a Road & Bridge Ford truck “not to exceed $55,000.” Commissioner Mike Sandoval seconded the motion; the court voted unanimously to approve the repurposing.
The court also approved a Western Surety Company bond for Marquis M. Cantu to serve as County Investigator in the County Attorney’s Office. That motion was made by Commissioner Peter Jones, seconded by Commissioner Mike Sandoval, and passed unanimously.
During public hearings the court addressed a variance in the Sunny K Subdivision. The plat had previously been approved contingent on removal of a shed; court members noted that the shed houses a private water well and Judge Ron Cunningham moved that the shed be removed. Commissioner Peter Jones seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the court considered a proposal to prohibit or restrict outdoor burning in Llano County. Commissioner Peter Jones moved to table that item; Commissioner Mike Sandoval seconded, and the court voted unanimously to table the proposal.
