Llano Commissioners approve routine administrative items, table outdoor burning and 4-H proclamation

The Llano County Commissioners Court handled a series of routine administrative actions on Sept. 9, 2024, approving the consent agenda, administrative orders for judicial compensation, county court terms, and personnel qualifications, and accepting a $100 donation for the Llano Library.
Key approvals included minutes from Aug. 26, 2024; awards of bids and financial reports presented by Auditor Kelly Eckhardt; interlocal agreements and contracts presented by county attorneys; payroll and treasurer reports; and monthly departmental reports. The court approved an administrative order qualifying Kelly Eckhardt as Llano County Auditor and approved an administrative order setting compensation and expenses for court reporters and for county auditor assistants in the 33rd/424th Judicial District Court.
The court also approved a Western Surety Company bond for Harry Allen Miley Jr., Deputy Sheriff, and approved authority for Judge Ron Cunningham to execute a General and No Litigation Certificate relating to Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation bond issuance, with the record noting that Llano County assumes no obligation for CAHFC notes. A replat for Lots 49 & 50, Block L, Wood Forest Ranchettes to Lots 49-A & 50-A was approved. Commissioners accepted a $100 donation from the Women's Culture Club to the library donation fund, approved the FY2024-2025 meeting dates, and adopted the 2025 holiday schedule.
The court tabled an item proposing to prohibit or restrict outdoor burning and tabled approval of the 2024 Beyond Ready National 4-H Week Proclamation. An executive session convened at 9:42 a.m. to discuss multiple legal matters; the court returned to open session at 10:41 a.m. and took no action related to executive session items before adjourning.
