Claudia O. Hager was sworn in as Durham County Manager during the Board of County Commissioners’ regular session on Nov. 12, 2024.
Superior Court Judge Shameika Rhinehart administered the oath of office. Chair Nida Allam and other commissioners congratulated Hager, citing her financial leadership, experience and commitment to county employees. Hager thanked the Board for appointing her, acknowledged her parents and family for their support, and said she looked forward to continuing to work with Board members and county staff.
The swearing-in was followed by routine agenda business and the Board’s consideration of consent items and public comments.
