Durham commissioners approve multiple capital and budget amendments, including sewer and pump station projects

Among the approvals were a $313,288.87 contract with NWN to renew support for Cisco network and security equipment and multiple capital project amendments: Snow Hill Road Pump Station (Capital Project Amendment No.25CPA017) increased by $6,659,581 to a revised project budget of $36,954,581, including authorization to execute a design‑builder Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) amendment; Page Park Lift Station (25CPA-19) received an appropriation increase of $4,021,221 for a new total project budget of $4,236,671; and Slater Road lift station, force main and outfall projects were increased by multi‑million dollar amounts (25CPA-20) to reach updated budgets in the millions.
Other approved items included a FY25 Durham Transit Work Program Q2 amendment ($3,861,058), engineering services contracts for sewer improvements and lift station flow meters, and a $1,000,000 appropriation for the Seaton Road maintenance facility capital project (25CPA-21). Several budget ordinance amendments were adopted to reflect these changes in the FY 2024–25 budget.
