Board to consider $100,000 in matching grants, El Futuro appropriation and lease/addendum items

El Futuro appropriation: Staff also requested Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 25BCC072 to appropriate $53,240 of General Fund balance to complete a previously approved 2023‑24 matching grant to El Futuro for improvements at the Lakewood Shopping Center; staff noted contract delays prevented encumbrance before the fiscal year ended.
Real estate items: The packet asked the Board to approve a lease amendment to extend China Wok’s tenancy at 3825 S. Roxboro Road through Feb. 28, 2027, and a TradeMark Properties addendum to incorporate two retail spaces at 201 E. Main Street and increase the annual property-management contract by $18,000 to $36,000. Nancy Mitchell is listed as the senior real-estate officer and other project staff are identified.
