Rock County commissioners approve routine contracts, licensure and claims; bridge inspection quote tabled

Rock County commissioners on March 18 approved several administrative measures and audited claims presented during the meeting.
The board approved a $1,200 JT Construction quote to replace a weed-shop window after Assessor TJ Ellermeier presented the estimate; the motion was made by Commissioner Faye Smith and seconded by Chairman Wade D. Hollenbeck, and carried by unanimous roll-call vote.
Hospital Administrator Stacey Knox asked the board to approve long-term care licensure for the facility. Commissioner Faye Smith moved and Commissioner Colby Sybrant seconded the licensure approval; roll-call vote was unanimous.
Road Foreman W. Reynolds reported on road operations and commissioners voted to surplus a 8830 Ford tractor (motion by Colby Sybrant, seconded by Wade D. Hollenbeck) with a unanimous vote. The board discussed a $2,220 quote from Mainelli Wagner & Associates to inspect nine bridges but tabled the proposal until the April 1 meeting.
The board audited and approved claims covering general, road and other funds. The claims list included a line item described as "Drone" for $8,999.14 and other vendor and payroll items; Commissioner Colby Sybrant moved and Commissioner Faye Smith seconded approval of the March 18 claims and the board voted unanimously to accept them. A motion to adjourn carried at 5:03 p.m.
