Summary
The board moved the Public Hearing on the 1 & 6 Year Road Plan to April 15 at 3:30 p.m. and received an update on the IWorqs rollout, a tracking system to manage labor, inventory and infrastructure for the Road Department.
The Rock County Board of Commissioners agreed April 1 to move the Public Hearing on the county’s 1 & 6 Year Road Plan to April 15, 2025, at 3:30 p.m.
Commissioner Faye Smith moved and Commissioner Colby Sybrant seconded the change to the agenda; the motion passed unanimously. The new hearing date was set to allow additional preparation and notification.
Later in the meeting, W. Reynolds, the county Road Foreman, joined and the board reported on an IWorqs kickoff Zoom that took place earlier that day. The county will use IWorqs to track and manage road-department functions including labor, inventory, parts, materials, sign marking, culverts and bridges.
The board’s discussion did not include a vote on the road plan itself; the public hearing scheduled for April 15 is the next formal opportunity for public input and board action on the 1 & 6 Year Road Plan.
