Rock County accepts distress-warrant report, grants vehicle exemption to Senior Center
Summary

Chairman Wade D. Hollenbeck convened the Rock County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 5 in Bassett, where County Treasurer Mona Davis presented the county’s Distress Warrant Report and a revenue/expenditure summary for roads. The board voted unanimously to accept the Distress Warrant Report and the road revenue/expenditure information.
Following that presentation, the board moved into its Board of Equalization at 9:07 a.m. to consider a property-tax exemption for a vehicle owned by the Rock County Senior Center. Commissioners returned from the Board of Equalization at 9:08 a.m. and approved the Senior Center vehicle exemption on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The actions were procedural and approved by motion of Commissioner Faye Smith, seconded by Commissioner Colby Sybrant, with all three commissioners voting in favor. Treasurer Mona Davis also provided a revenue/expenditure report for the county road fund during her appearance.
The board did not record further debate on the exemption; the minutes show the exemption was approved and the board resumed its regular agenda.
