County officials concluded the county’s obligation on the matter ‘‘has run out’’ and that any further payment would be the responsibility of the patient’s insurance, not the county. Grant was directed to send formal notices to Stacey Knox, Hospital Administrator, and to the patient communicating the decision.
The action was recorded as part of regular business; commissioners did not take a separate roll-call vote recorded in the minutes on this specific reimbursement beyond the direction to send the letter. The minutes show county counsel was present during the discussion. The matter will proceed administratively through written notification rather than further county funding.
