Rock County delays decision on county welcome signs after reviewing three quotes

At the Oct. 7 meeting Larry Buell presented the commissioners with three vendor quotes to install county line 'welcome' signs. The bids recorded in the minutes were Bob’s Signs for $5,155.00, Love Signs for $6,575.77 and Tina Treffer Signs for $4,871.00.
Buell recounted prior involvement by Rock County Growth, Inc. and noted that Rock County previously paid half the cost of the signs from inheritance funds when the signs were first installed in 2015. He asked whether Rock County Community Fund could help with costs and requested assistance with dirt work around the Community Center.
The commissioners discussed the options but did not approve a bid; the item was tabled until the Oct. 20, 2025 meeting for additional consideration.
