Rock County commissioners approve minutes, claims, licenses and inventories in routine session

At its Oct. 7 meeting the Rock County Board of Commissioners approved minutes, claims, fee reports, a special liquor license, sheriff and emergency management inventories, struck a $28.38 distress warrant and approved hospital licensure renewal; all motions passed unanimously.
The Rock County Board of Commissioners handled routine county business and approved a series of motions at its Oct. 7, 2025 meeting in Bassett.
Early in the session Commissioner Colby Sybrant moved and Commissioner Faye Smith seconded to approve minutes for Sept. 16, Sept. 24 and Sept. 29, 2025; the motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote. The board also approved the day’s agenda after a motion by Commissioner Faye Smith and second by Commissioner Colby Sybrant.
Treasurer Mona Davis asked the board to strike a distress warrant for parcel #00001365 covering 2021–2023 (accelerated); the board approved striking the parcel from the tax list, removing $28.38.
Other routine approvals recorded in the minutes included the Sheriff’s updated inventory, September fee reports for the Sheriff, Clerk and Clerk of the District Court, a Special Designated Liquor License for Reiman Coffee LLC for Oct. 18, 2025 (Adults Night at the Patch, 5–11 p.m.), and the Rock County Hospital licensure renewal after a presentation by Stacey Knox. The board also approved Emergency Management’s inventory following a review with Tracy Booth.
The board audited and approved claims covering general, road, library and 911 funds, among others; the minutes list vendors and line-item totals. The meeting adjourned at 2:29 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 21, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Room in Bassett.
All motions recorded in the minutes passed on roll-call votes described as 'All For None Against.'
