The Rock County Board of Commissioners reviewed and approved the completed 2024–25 audit from the Nebraska State Auditor's office at its Dec. 2 meeting. Commissioner Colby Sybrant moved to approve the audit; the minutes record a second but do not specify who seconded; the roll call vote was all for, none against and the motion carried.
The board also audited and approved the list of claims presented for Dec. 2. Items in the claims listing included NIRMA legal fees of $8,333.33, a $5,000 line item for the Historical Society's 24/25 budget, payroll and retirement matching, vendor payments for equipment and services, and numerous smaller operating expenses across General, Road, Library and 911 funds. Commissioner Faye Smith moved to approve the claims and Commissioner Colby Sybrant seconded; roll-call vote was all for, none against.
No budget amendments or additional appropriations were recorded during the vote. The meeting record lists the line-item claims in the minutes; the board did not debate individual claims at length during the session and no requests to hold or remove items were recorded.
The board adjourned at 4:31 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
