Rock County makes several 2026 appointments, offers weed superintendent post

Earlier in the meeting the board tabled a separate Weed Superintendent appointment until Feb. 3, 2026; following interviews held Dec. 30, 2025, the board later moved to offer the Weed Superintendent position to Scott Erthum of Brown County. The motion to offer the position passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
These personnel actions set administrative leadership for county functions including highways, zoning and budgeting. The Weed Superintendent hiring will be finalized following the offer and any required acceptance or additional procedural steps.
