Coatesville Historical Commission outlines 'America250' plans, seeks city support for signage and programming

She described continued historical tours, a kiosk planned for the Lukens property to support heritage tours, and several local holiday events and house tours in December that the commission is promoting.
Doan-Harley asked the city to assist with banner and signage needs once dates are finalized and invited council and residents to the commission's regular meetings. "This is not just colonial people dressed up, reenacted. This is to be a celebration for all peoples to acknowledge what they love about their country today," she said, emphasizing inclusivity in programming.
The commission also offered specific holiday dates (Dec. 5–9 events and Dec. 12 Holiday Open House & Auction in the Lukens Historic District; Dec. 13 Historic Holiday House Tours) and asked council to share information with constituents.
Next steps: Historical Commission will finalize dates, forward event flyers to city staff, and coordinate banner/signage assistance as needed.
