Butler County renews ICAP coverage and approves utility permit; engineering projects continue on schedule

The Butler County Board of Supervisors on June 18 approved an ICAP insurance policy renewal after hearing a presentation from Chad Campbell on updated policy terms and premiums. Campbell described changes including adjusted wind and hail deductibles for catastrophic losses, modified roof coverage rules for roofs older than 15 years, cosmetic exclusions, reductions in cyber liability coverage, and exclusions related to FPA and certain chemicals. Supervisor Greg Barnett moved and Supervisor Rusty Eddy seconded approval; the motion carried with all ayes.
County Engineer John Riherd recommended approval of a utility permit for Butler County REC to install underground services at 25989 310th; the board approved the permit on a motion by Rusty Eddy, seconded by Greg Barnett. Riherd also provided an update that the City of Dumont project funding was discussed and that other county road projects remain on schedule.
Supervisors approved claims and adjourned at 10:11 a.m.; the board scheduled its next regular meeting for June 25, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.
