The Butler County Board of Supervisors carried out routine administrative business during its Oct. 8, 2024 regular meeting, approving claims for Sept. 1–30, placing quarterly reports on file and acknowledging several manure management plan updates.
Chairman Wayne Dralle called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Supervisors Greg Barnett and Rusty Eddy moved and seconded multiple procedural motions: approval of the agenda, approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, placing quarterly reports on file, and approval of claims. The minutes record each motion as carried with “All ayes.” No public comment was recorded.
The quarterly reports the board placed on file include the Butler County Sheriff’s Office report, the County Recorder’s report of fees collected, and the Auditor’s cash report. The board also approved claims for the period Sept. 1–Sept. 30, 2024; the minutes list many vendors and amounts, including examples such as Skyline Construction, Inc. ($197,141.41), Bruening Rock Products, Inc. ($66,835.73), and Substrata ($24,273.00).
The board acknowledged receipt of manure management plan short-form annual updates for multiple operations, including Iowa Select – Jensen Finisher Farm #58277; Iowa Select – Henning Finisher Farm #58341; Iowa Select – Cutshall Finisher Farm #58227; RB/Knock Finisher Farm #59607; Worley #6258; Kairos LLC – RB/Schrage #2 #59432; and Kairos, LLC RB/Knock #59607.
Chairman Dralle moved to adjourn at 9:06 a.m.; Supervisor Greg Barnett seconded. The board set its next regular meeting for Oct. 15, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.
