Board approves Butler County Safety Committee appointments

The Butler County Board of Supervisors approved members of the Butler County Safety Committee at its Aug. 13, 2024, meeting.
Auditor Leslie Groen said the Butler County Safety Manual requires the Safety Committee to be appointed by the board and briefly outlined the committee’s role. "The Safety Committee is to be appointed by the Board," Groen said.
Greg Barnett moved to approve the appointed committee members; Rusty Eddy seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously (three ayes) to approve the appointments.
The committee appointment implements the county policy set out in the Safety Manual and places responsibility for workplace-safety oversight with the named committee. The board took no further action beyond approval.
The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 20, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.
