At its March 4 meeting, the Spencer County Fiscal Court approved three zoning ordinance changes following recommendations from the planning commission and Planning & Zoning director Mrs. Sweazy.
The court recorded motions and unanimous voice votes to: (1) rezone approximately 5.95 acres at 1326 Townhill Road for Matthew R. Banks from R-1 (Residential) to AG-1 (Agricultural); (2) rezone approximately 5.4 acres at 1751 Van Buren Road for Andrew Goodlett from AG-1 to AG-2 (agricultural); and (3) rezone 11.37 acres to AG-1 and 35.06 acres to AG-2 for Emma Neal/Chowning Estates at 1075 Chowning Lane. Each motion was presented on the planning commission’s findings of fact and recommendation and recorded as approved by voice vote.
Court minutes show motions made by magistrates (Esq. Cotton, Esq. Eldridge and Esq. Stump) and attestation by County Clerk Lynn Hesselbrock and Judge Executive Scott Travis. No appeals, requests for deferral, or public objections were recorded in the meeting minutes for these items.
The ordinances were attested in the public record as required; the minutes do not include ordinance numbers beyond the statement that the ordinances passed on the date shown.
