Spencer County Fiscal Court voted Aug. 5 to release $20,000 to Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency (MPCAA) as part of the agency’s request for local support for senior programming and to fund GLI at $1,935 for a one-year membership.
Judge Travis read MPCAA’s request letter describing rising program costs and the need for county support; the court approved the $20,000 allocation by unanimous voice vote. The court also approved $1,935 to GLI (noted by Judge Travis as less than 10 cents per resident) and moved several seasonal and co-op employees into part-time or full-time roles with specified hourly rates (Joey Dudeck to part-time at $17.50/hr; Emma Schneider hired as a co-op at $15/hr; and Jeffrey Pierce moved from part-time to full-time at $18.62/hr).
The court approved the consent docket of invoices, transfers and bills that were attached to the packet and recorded that the clerk will file the invoices. Motions were passed by roll/voice vote with supporting documentation filed in county records.
