The court voted unanimously to approve the county treasurer’s monthly ending balances for Feb. 29, 2024, which showed $1,163,229.66 in the General Fund and a total across all funds of $3,385,127.52. Commissioners also approved budget transfers, cash transfers and all claims reports; one carry-in claim reimbursed conference mileage of $104.92 to Magistrate Donnie Fawns. A motion to approve these items passed unanimously.
In other fiscal actions, the court approved reappointments to the Ambulance District Board (Jan Brown and James Clark), authorized a $5,000 appropriation in the FY2024–2025 budget as a match for a dead-animal removal grant, and approved bond changes — increasing M. McElfresh’s bond to $150,000 and establishing a $1,500,000 bond for Miranda Utterback — while giving the County Judge/Executive authority to execute the bonds. The court also voted unanimously to accept the first reading of Ordinance 24-1398, a budget amendment.
