Cheatham County commissioners authorized a set of budget amendments and debt authorization during the Jan. 22 meeting.
Director of Accounts Sandrine Batts presented General Fund amendments covering several departments, including Jail ($714.00), County Buildings ($22,330.74), Animal Control ($5,847.07), Juvenile ($100.00) and the Election Commission ($1,817.46). The body approved those amendments by roll call as recorded in the meeting packet.
Separately, the Budget Committee recommended — and the commission authorized — a Three‑Year Capital Outlay Note not to exceed $367,832 to fund a parking‑lot drainage project at the Tucker Empson Building. The capital improvement committee recorded its committee votes (Capital Improvements Vote noted as 5 Yes, 0 No, 1 Absent) and the final legislative roll call approved the note.
