Cheatham County approves Sycamore Square lease amendment, temporary court‑records storage and accepts Food Lion roof bid

Mayor Kerry McCarver introduced Jerome Terrell as the new Economic & Community Development director and provided an update on the Sycamore Square project. The body approved an amendment to the lease agreement with Family Medical Center of Ashland City, PLLC and approved a temporary location at Sycamore Square for storage of Chancery Court records (motions moved by Gary Binkley and others; recorded in Resolution 12 and Resolution 13).
Separately, the Capital Improvements committee recommended accepting TS Construction and Roofing’s bid to replace and repair the Food Lion roof at Sycamore Square. The commission accepted the bid; the roll call recorded 11 Yes and 1 No (Dale McCarver). The record lists committee votes prior to the final roll call.
The meeting minutes note the county will proceed with negotiations on other properties such as Leeland Station in a separate action. Detailed contract amounts for the roof repair and lease amendment were not included in the meeting minutes.
