Cheatham County approves two rezoning requests; a third was removed from the agenda

Building Commissioner Franklin Wilkinson presented David Royalty’s request to rezone a portion of Map 23 Parcel 64 (1022 Knight Road) from commercial C5 to residential R1. The planning commission recommended approval 7–0 (2 absent). The Legislative Body approved the rezoning by roll-call vote 12–0 (Resolution 9).
A separate motion by Connie Mayo and seconded by Chris Gilmore approved Larry Perry’s request to rezone a 3.28-acre portion of Map 8 Parcel 2.05 on Dimple Road from Agriculture to R1. The planning commission had recommended approval 7–0 (2 absent); the Legislative Body voted 12–0 (Resolution 10).
A rezoning request by Continental Holdings LLC for Milliken Road (C1 to I1) was advertised but later removed from the agenda; public comment included opposition from Gary Chance (2nd district), who raised concerns about traffic and road conditions.
Both approved rezoning motions were accompanied by planning commission recommendations and recorded roll-call votes; the minutes list the actions as Resolutions 9 and 10.
