Cheatham County approves budget amendments, vehicle-fund transfer, and capital repairs for libraries and courthouse

Separately, the commission approved a $32,225.44 amendment to the Other Capital Projects - Vehicle Fund to be funded from insurance recovery.
The commission authorized surplus disposition of a 2000 GMC Safari van (VIN 1GKDM190YB523560, mileage 126,588) to be offered on GovDeals, with recycling or disposal if unsold. The commission also approved surplus/disposal of two Mac computers damaged by lightning on Nov. 30, 2019; those items were replaced with insurance proceeds, per the minutes.
Capital Improvement Committee recommendations were approved: $5,300 for a fire and smoke alarm system at the South Cheatham Library and $4,610 for canopy replacements at the Courthouse and Library. Commissioners also approved audited fund balances to be reflected in the budgeted documents for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020.
Votes on these budget and capital items were recorded by roll call or voice vote as noted in the minutes; the record shows unanimous approval among those present where roll-call votes were taken, with one commissioner absent (Gary Binkley).
