The commission approved a series of budget amendments and small capital projects at the Sept. 20 meeting.
Director of Accounts Sandrine Batts presented amendments moving funds into County Buildings ($24,541), Sheriff ($653.90), Emergency Management ($45,484), Mayor ($48), Cheatham County Library ($500.32) and South Cheatham Library ($251.58); the amendments passed on roll call 8–0.
Separately, commissioners approved $11,270 to install six parking islands in front of Food Lion at Sycamore Square (vote 7–1; Commissioner Chris Gilmore voted no) and authorized relocation of the helicopter light switch at the EMS center for $9,000 (state grant fund) on an 8–0 vote. The commission also authorized declaring multiple county assets surplus (including two Chevrolet Silverados and a non‑running 2008 Ford Expedition, and EMS cardiac monitor mounts) so they may be sold, recycled or otherwise disposed of.
A consent calendar approved a slate of notary public applicants. The meeting closed at 7:18 p.m.
