Cheatham County authorizes surplus of sheriff vehicles and equipment; auction set for Nov. 4

Cheatham County commissioners authorized surplus and disposition of multiple county and seized assets on Oct. 18 and set an auction date for Nov. 4.
The resolution declared several vehicles from the Sheriff’s Department (including a 2009 Chevrolet HHR, 2012 Nissan Altima, 2013 Chevrolet Camaro, multiple Dodge and Ford patrol vehicles) and an EMS Stryker cot (non‑functional) as surplus. The items listed will be sold at auction or disposed of, with proceeds to be recorded to the identified county funds (Drug Control Fund or Other Capital Projects/Vehicle Fund as applicable).
Commissioner Tim Williamson moved and Commissioner Ed Greer seconded the surplus authorizations. The roll‑call vote recorded 11 Yes, 0 No, 1 Absent. The county’s Director of Accounts, Sandrine Batts, said the auction will be held Nov. 4 in the Sycamore Square parking lot at 5:00 P.M.
The resolutions list vehicle VINs and mileages for record keeping. The items seized and declared surplus will follow county auction and disposal procedures; the resolution indicates sale proceeds will be deposited to the stated county funds.
