Cheatham County approves two residential rezoning requests in second district

Following an advertised public hearing, the Cheatham County Legislative Body on Oct. 18 approved two zone change requests in the county’s 2nd voting district.
Building Department representative Franklin Wilkinson presented the items. The first request would rezone Map 23, Parcel 59.05 (1134 Ridge Circle) from Agriculture to R1 at the request of Sarah Bratcher. The second would rezone Map 37, Parcel 31.05 (1048 Pursley Road) from Agriculture to E1 at the request of Bobbie and Teddie Knight. Both properties were noted as not being in a Special Flood Hazard Area.
Commissioner Tim Williamson moved and Commissioner Diana Pike Lovell seconded the motion to approve both zone changes. The motions were adopted by roll call vote, 11 Yes, 0 No; Commissioner David Anderson was absent.
There were no contested statements recorded in the hearing record during the meeting and no amendments to the zoning requests were proposed. The resolution language memorializing those approvals was entered into the county record.
