Franklin County committee forwards four road-name changes and seven notary applications to full commission

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners' Legislative Committee voted unanimously Oct. 4 to forward four road-name change resolutions and seven notary applications to the full commission for consideration.
Chairman Johnny Hughes called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. in Courthouse Conference Room 204. Committee members David Eldridge, Helen Stapleton and Chuck Stines were present, along with Secretary Heather Morgan and other attendees listed in the minutes.
The committee approved the minutes of its Sept. 6, 2018 meeting after a motion by Chuck Stines and a second from Helen Stapleton; the motion carried on a unanimous voice vote.
David Eldridge moved that the committee send four road-name change resolutions to the full commission; Chuck Stines seconded. The resolutions forwarded were: a resolution to approve a road change for Honey Lane; a resolution to rename Fred Huber Lane to Nostalgia Lane; a resolution to approve a road change for Murray Road; and a resolution to change Lagnaippe Lane to Mitchell Bend Lane. The motion passed with all ayes.
Eldridge then moved to forward seven notary applications to the full commission for review; Stines seconded and the motion also passed unanimously.
The committee adjourned at 6:30 p.m. on a motion by Stines, seconded by Eldridge. The meeting minutes were submitted as "Respectfully submitted, Johnny Hughes, Chairman" with a recorded approval date listed as 11-15-18 on the document.
All formal actions recorded in the minutes were referrals or approvals to send items to the full commission; the minutes do not record debate, dissenting remarks, or recorded roll-call statements beyond unanimous approval of the motions.
