The purchase authorized by Resolution 02-2024-08 covers approximately 15.85 acres at 4020 Hwy 48 N, Charlotte, Tennessee; the motion to authorize the purchase was made by Commissioner Ray Ledger and seconded by Commissioner Mike Petty and passed by a unanimous voice vote. The resolution also authorizes selling county land and facilities located along Sylvis Road to the county Board of Education.
The commission also approved two capital-note financings: Resolution 02-2024-06 authorized issuance of interest-bearing ambulance service capital outlay notes, Series 2024, not to exceed $295,000; and Resolution 02-2024-07 authorized issuance of highway department capital outlay notes, Series 2024, not to exceed $466,057. Both motions were moved by Commissioner Becky Spicer and passed by unanimous voice vote.
