Dickson County sets new speed limits on Highlake Drive, Timber Ridge Road and Wildcat Road

Dickson County Commissioners on July 15 approved three resolutions changing speed limits on county roads and deferred consideration of a fourth.
Resolution 07-2024-03, moved by Commissioner Ray Ledger and seconded by Commissioner Becky Spicer, lowers the speed limit on Highlake Drive (at its intersections with Sylvis Road and Lakeview Circle) to 20 miles per hour; the commission noted a three-way stop is not required at this time. The motion passed by a unanimous aye voice vote.
Resolution 07-2024-04, moved by Commissioner Stacey Batey and seconded by Commissioner Dwight McIllwain, sets the speed limit on Timber Ridge Road at 35 miles per hour; that measure passed unanimously.
Resolution 07-2024-05, moved by Commissioner Ray Ledger and seconded by Commissioner Stacey Batey, sets the speed limit on Wildcat Road (which intersects State Highway 70) at 30 miles per hour; that motion also passed by unanimous voice vote.
The commission deferred consideration of the Fagan Chapel (Loggins Road) speed-limit matter to its August 19 meeting.
