Commission declares Powell Ridge Road extension a county road

The resolution, adopted by roll call vote 20-0, says litigation in Claiborne County Chancery Court resulted in an order on Nov. 3, 2021 declaring Powell Ridge Road a public/private road serving the litigation parties and that the additional segment provides access to named property owners including Jeffery Davis, Andy and Lois Edwards, Paul and Linda Irvin, and Terrie Mae and Tilman Lee Crutchfield.
The resolution instructs that the segment from the current terminus for approximately three-tenths of a mile be added to the county road list and take effect upon passage. The move brings the road under county maintenance authority as described in the resolution text.
