At its April 23 meeting the Bland County Board of Supervisors approved a package of routine and administrative measures, including the consent agenda, personnel actions and several county business items.
The consent agenda, approved by roll call, included minutes (March 26 and April 10), payroll issued March 29 for $134,051.95 and April 16 for $126,748.20, vendor bills for February ($9,644.63), March ($95,483.04) and April ($236,909.32), appropriation of the February 2024 Social Services local allotment of $15,883.98, and the Bland County School Board’s May 2024 requisition recorded in the minutes as $1,112,984.67.
The board also approved trash adjustments for January–March 2024 totaling $6,033.88; adopted the County Administrator’s employment agreement and authorized the chairman to sign; approved the private road name "Lakulish Drive" for a private drive serving 13066 and 13060 W. Blue Grass Trail; and approved a temporary position in the Sheriff's Office effective May 1, 2024, to be funded from Courthouse Security. All motions in these items carried unanimously on recorded roll calls or by voice vote where noted.
These actions were taken during the board’s regular meeting at the Bland County Courthouse. The meeting record does not include additional contract terms for the administrator agreement or job-class detail for the temporary sheriff position; those materials are typically kept in personnel files or supplemental meeting materials.
