The CPMT heard Sept. 25 that the governor’s signing of the 2024 budget has led to revised Private Day Special Education rate sheets being issued without the previously applied 2% cap, and that a previously rescinded 5% increase in foster-care basic maintenance rates will be reinstated. The coordinator told members the effective date for the foster-care increase is not yet known.
The coordinator also noted the Independent Living stipend increase to $800 per month remains in effect. CPMT members received Administrative Memorandum #23-09 on rate setting for private day special education programs and were advised to expect further guidance from Office of Children’s Services and state sources on implementation timing.
No formal local action was recorded on rate implementation at the meeting; CPMT members were informed of the state developments and will await official implementation instructions from OCS and the state executive council.
