CPMT flags $1.24 million in Medicaid billings eligible for CSA funding; LEDRS upload deadline could shift costs to locality
Summary
At its Sept. 25 meeting, the CPMT reviewed an Aug. 29 Medicaid billings report showing $1,241,697.30 eligible for CSA funding and heard that missing the LEDRS upload deadline could make FY2023 CSA expenses the locality's responsibility.

Tazewell County’s CPMT reviewed a Medicaid billings report at its Sept. 25 meeting showing $1,139,324.21 paid through June 2023, $2,381,021.51 total billed and a remaining $1,241,697.30 that the report lists as eligible for CSA funding.
The coordinator said staff will follow up during FAPT staffing to confirm that services eligible for Medicaid are properly submitted. Arlene Matney discussed an Office of Children’s Services notification that, because Sept. 30 falls on a weekend, the last business day to upload FY2023 reimbursements to LEDRS is Friday, Sept. 29. She warned that if those uploads are not completed by the due date, FY2023 CSA expenses will become the full responsibility of the locality; Matney noted Tazewell’s local fiscal assistant set a Sept. 22 cutoff to allow time for administrative processing.
The CPMT did not vote on any funding transfers at the meeting; members directed follow-up with case workers and case managers to ensure Medicaid-eligible services and IFSPs are submitted for review during FAPT so reimbursements can be processed through LEDRS.
