Lunenburg County Planning Commission elects James Tharpe chair, names Commissioner Thompson vice chair

James Tharpe was elected chairman of the Lunenburg County Planning Commission at a meeting on Feb. 3, 2022, after a unanimous roll-call vote following a nomination by Commissioner Pennington and a second by Commissioner Jennings.
Commissioner Shell nominated Commissioner Thompson for vice chairman; the nomination, seconded by Commissioner Pennington, was approved unanimously. Commissioners also approved the Nov. 16, 2021 meeting minutes on a motion by Commissioner Pennington and a second by Commissioner Thompson.
Before adjourning, the commission announced its next meeting for March 3, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. Commissioner Thompson moved to adjourn; Commissioner Pennington seconded and the motion passed. The meeting ended at 7:16 p.m.
