The Isabella County Board of Commissioners made several administrative appointments and approved a lease amendment on Oct. 21.
Commissioner Jerry Jaloszynski nominated Phillip Mikus for an at-large seat on the Human Rights Committee for a three-year term ending Sept. 1, 2028; nominations were closed and the board cast a unanimous ballot for Mikus. The board also appointed county canvassers for four-year terms ending Oct. 31, 2029: Democratic representative Tim Caldwell received seven votes and Republican representative Brent Fisher received five votes and were declared appointed.
Separately, the board approved a second amendment to the lease agreement with MRP Properties Company, LLC, commencing Dec. 1, 2025, and authorized the board chair to sign the amendment. The minutes do not include the lease terms or financial details.
