Isabella County board ratifies invoices, approves agreements and fills several vacancies

The Isabella County Board of Commissioners approved a set of financial and administrative items Nov. 4, including ratification of two invoice lists, an early termination payment to a vendor, a purchase agreement for Area Agency on Aging services and an amendment to the county travel policy.
On a motion by Commissioner Jaloszynski, the board ratified the Oct. 17 invoice list for $275,962.46 and the Oct. 24 list for $206,392.74. The board also approved an Early Termination Agreement and payment of $2,722.50 to CMS Internet, LLC and authorized the board chair to sign. Administrator/Controller Brian Smith reviewed the invoices and the termination agreement. The board approved the Region VII Area Agency on Aging Purchase of Service Provider Agreement and related documents, and amended Travel Policy No. 250 to extend the reimbursement submission period from 30 days to 60 days.
Appointments: The board opened nominations and filled several vacancies. Mary Myler Hunter was unanimously appointed to the Department of Health and Human Services/Medical Care Facility Board for a three-year term. Robert Denslow and Russ Alwood were unanimously appointed to the Isabella County Veterans Committee for four-year terms. Jill Borland was appointed to the Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works Workforce Development Board for a two-year term.
Votes and procedure: Where recorded, motions carried unanimously. The board placed prior meeting minutes on file under the consent agenda.
What happens next: Administrative and finance staff will proceed with contract execution and standard implementation tasks; appointments will be finalized by the Clerk’s Office.
