Isabella County appoints deputy medical examiner and fills Opioid Advisory Committee vacancies

Commissioner James Moreno moved and Commissioner Steve Weber seconded to appoint Dr. Petra Rahaman, M.D., as the county’s Deputy Medical Examiner effective immediately; the motion carried unanimously. The board did not record further discussion about the appointment in the minutes.
The board also filled multiple vacancies on the Opioid Advisory Committee. Commissioner Jerry Jaloszynski nominated Anna Winters to represent an at-large provider of opioid substance use disorder recovery support services, Jeremy Bennett for an at-large seat representing someone with living or lived experience with opioid use disorder (term through Dec. 31, 2026), Rose Jackson for an at-large seat with lived experience (term through Dec. 31, 2028), and Amy Campbell to serve as an at-large member representing Isabella County residents who are a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and/or Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) for a term ending Dec. 31, 2028. Each nomination was closed and the board cast unanimous ballots to fill the seats.
