The Board of Chippewa County Road Commissioners on July 31 authorized Amendment No. 1 with Ayres Associates Inc. for load‑rating services and MiBridge updates at a cost of $24,900 for the year.
Office Manager Bobbie Livermore told commissioners the contract reflects new or changing load‑rating and review requirements from the Michigan Department of Transportation and will include load ratings, necessary updates to the county’s MiBridge entries and a summary report. "This will be an annual contract," Livermore said while presenting the amendment.
Commissioner Moser moved to authorize the amendment; Commissioner Sprague seconded the motion, which carried. The board did not record a roll‑call tally in the minutes.
The amendment is intended to keep the county’s bridge load‑rating records current with MDOT expectations; the board did not set further conditions or a separate reporting timeline beyond the deliverables described by Livermore.
