Road commissioners approve payroll and vouchers, authorize signatures and back Rudyard Township road-name change

At its July 1 meeting the Chippewa County Road Commission approved payroll of $184,220.99 and vouchers of $308,595.75; authorized signatures on an auditor representation letter and the Act 51 cover page; and supported a Rudyard Township resolution renaming a section of S. Trombley Road to Gaylor Row.
The Chippewa County Road Commission on July 1 approved routine financial and administrative items and voted to support a local road-name change.
On a motion by Commissioner Sprague seconded by Chairman Jeremy Gagnon, the board approved payroll in the amount of $184,220.99 and vouchers totaling $308,595.75 to be paid from the County Road Fund subject to audit. The board also approved the minutes of the June 19, 2025 regular meeting.
The commission authorized Chairman Gagnon and Office Manager Bobbie Livermore to sign the Management Representation Letter for Anderson Tackman, the firm handling the audit, and likewise authorized those two officials to sign the cover page of Act 51. Both authorizations were moved by Commissioner Sprague, seconded by Chairman Gagnon, and the motions carried.
Under new business the board voted to support a Rudyard Township resolution to change a 1,045-foot section of S. Trombley Road to be called Gaylor Row. The motion was moved by Commissioner Sprague, seconded by Chairman Gagnon, and carried; no roll-call vote tally was recorded in the minutes.
There were no county commissioners' comments and no public comments recorded. Chairman Gagnon adjourned the meeting at 8:15 A.M.
