Committee receives multiple monthly reports; Administrator notes possible EM consolidation with Montmorency County

Chair Lucille Bray presented several routine departmental reports and the committee voted to receive and file them. Commissioner Bill LaHaie moved and Commissioner Dan Ludlow supported motions to receive and file the Ambulance Fund monthly report, the Veterans Affairs monthly report and the Medical Examiners monthly report; each motion was recorded as carried.
Separately, County Administrator Jesse Osmer reported on a meeting with Montmorency County that explored consolidating emergency management duties under a single lead. Osmer said Emergency Management Director Kim Elkie could move to a full-time role covering 911 and emergency management duties under a merged arrangement and that he projected annual savings to the county of roughly $5,000 to $10,000. Osmer said the concept would be discussed further at the full board meeting scheduled for the next day.
No formal consolidation decision was made; the committee received the reports and the consolidation proposal remains under consideration at the county level.
