The Alpena County Board of Commissioners took several formal votes during its Feb. 25 meeting. Key outcomes:
• Bills to pay: Chair Kozlowski presented bills totaling $297,538.72. On a roll call vote Commissioners LaHaie, Ludlow, Bray, Peterson, Foumier, Konarzewski and Kozlowski voted yes; Commissioner Britton was excused. The motion carried.

• Materials Management Planning payment: The board approved advancing $4,000 toward inter-county materials management planning and to submit bills to the State for reimbursement; the motion passed unanimously among present commissioners.
• NEMCSA lease amendment: The board approved amending a previously approved two-year lease with NEMCSA to a one-year term at annual rent of $40,562 after a math error was discovered; the motion passed unanimously among present commissioners.
• Adjournment: The board entered closed session for a personnel matter and later adjourned at 2:32 p.m.
