The Alpena County Board of Commissioners convened an organizational meeting Jan. 2, 2025, in the Howard Male Conference Room. County Clerk Keri Bertrand called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. and administered oaths to newly sworn and returning commissioners.
Commissioner Bill Peterson nominated Commissioner John Kozlowski for chairman; nominations were closed and a roll-call vote elected Kozlowski as chairman for 2025. Commissioner Lucille Bray nominated Commissioner Bill Peterson for vice-chairman; a roll-call vote approved Peterson as vice-chairman.
